Hi,
So it happens with Microsoft DPM and Backup Exec? That means it isn't the software, and could possibly be the OS.
That said, here are tech articles that might address your various errors:

What you can also look at doing is making sure that your job is configured to automatically select the provider used, and also go to a command prompt and type the following:
vssadmin list writer
Check to see if there are any errors, and if there are, use the tech article below to troubleshoot...
