  • Vsphere 4 should be on there under the section for virtualization. If your version is not on the SCL, i would assume it is either too old, or too new. Your version appears to be newer than those you listed, and if not on the SCL is untested. Maybe add in an Idea for your version to be supported. Thanks!
  • Hi,

Check the BE 2012 SCL below...this will detail the versions of Linux you have that are supported.

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH175581

The hardware shouldn't be an issue from a server-make perspective, and likewise the server configuration.

However, your media server MUST be Windows-based. Also be aware that BE 2012 won't install on Windows Server 2012 (R1 or R2) as a media server...you'd need to run Windows Server 2008 R2, although this is going to be addressed with the Beta for BE 2012 R2.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Craig,

I checked the Document and for SUSE it supports for Ext 2, Ext 3, Reiser FS, JFS, VxFS and does not mention anything for ext4 or it it end of life?

Please advice also on VMware VSphere 4?

    Thanks
