Hello All,
Sorry for replying lately :( .
The issue got fixed now, I am just sharing the slution which worked in this case. There was an unwanted driver installed in the concerned server which was used previously however it was not uninstalled properly from the server once the activity with the driver was completed. We just uninstalled the driver and rebooted the server and after that backup is getting successful for the server.

Can you please confirm which specific driver causing this issue.
or how to check what are drivers not uninstalled properly?
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Are you able to expand the selection list using Backup Exec and reach the problematic files/folders? Do you have the Advanced Open File option checked?
- pkhModeratorIs this problem server a VM? What device is the E: drive?

Would you post the failed job log over here as an attachment ? Thanks.

Thanks all for your response.
Siddhant,
I am able to get the folders expanding the selection list.We have tried taking backups by both checking and unchecking the AOFO option. As per process in our environment it should be unchecked.
pkh,
The server is a physical box. Not sure what you meant by the device thing? If I understood correctly it a local drive of the server same as others.
VJWare,
Please find the log attached herewith. We are facing the issue for server-prds101 in that list.

The job log lists multiple errors for \\Server-PRDS101
Check the state of VSS writers on this server by running "vssadmin list writers" command via a cmd.
If running any AV on this server, exclude the beremote.exe process from being scanned.
AOFO is to be enabled for flat-file backups. What is the reason for unchecking in your environment ?
Lastly, try this KB article as well - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH56722.html

Hello VJware,
VSS writers are all stable in the problemetic server and maximum of the problemetic files are having 'A' attributes in the server.
SEP is is installed and Backup Exec folder is excluded from the SEP. We do not have license for taking backup of open files and hence we have unchecked that.
Tried everything still the backup got failed.

Pls check AOFO and set it to use the Microsoft VSS Provider. AOFO does not require a license. (It used to but in very old versions of BE).
