V-79-57344-41488 this backup cannot be used for conversion

The first error is expected since SDR requires all critical components of the server to be backed up i.e. C:\ & System State at least.

You should be troubleshooting this error specifically since this error can also lead to the first one -

V-79-57344-33928 - Access Denied. Cannot backup directory \ and its subdirectories

Does the BE account have rights as per - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.tech23689.html

Also, the BE account should preferably be the same one for the BE services and set as the System Logon Account in the format domain\administrator.

All the Backup Exec services are set to domain\CompanyAdmin apart from Backup Exec Remote agent and Backup Exec Error recording which are set to Local System.

The BE System logon Account is also domain\CompanyAdmin

The URL you sent me says the following....but where do I go to find those settings?

Act as part of the operating system (Windows 2000 only)
Backup files and directories
Create a token object
Logon as a batch job (Windows 2008 and higher) 
Logon as a service
Manage auditing and security log
Restore files and directories
Take ownership of files and other objects

I came in this morning and checked the backups and it failed with the same error and thats even with following all the above.

Also, what is the state of the VSS writers (run vssadmin list writers on the server which is being backed up via a cmd) ?

Hi. It was logged with Symantec but they said I need to speak to Microsoft. It might be we need to choose another backup vendor if Symantec cannot work it out.
