One of our users deleted his Inbox rules and wants those recovered. Is that possible to do since the rules are stored in some special table within the mailbox ? SolvedRe: Exchange 2010 DAG - Preferred server selection issue Confirming that uninstalling the hotfix allows me to select preferred servers again when backing up Exchange 2010. Thanks. Re: Exchange 2010 DAG - Preferred server selection issue Hi Ben, Thanks for that link. I'm not sure I can uninstall the hotfix mentioned in that article since it has some Exchange 2010 specific fixes that we needed in the past. But, good to know. Thanks again. Re: Exchange 2010 DAG - Preferred server selection issue Hi, That link doesn't help answer why I can't select a preferred server when trying to backup Exchange 2010 database in a DAG. Re: Exchange 2010 DAG - Preferred server selection issue Hi, Backing up the DAG directly works fine. But, I need to select a preferred server. Would setting the CAS array to use static RPC ports play in to this issue ? In the sgmon log, I see this: errorcode 100054 existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host Exchange 2010 DAG - Preferred server selection issue Hello, After selecting a database in an Exchange 2010 DAG to be backed up, I'm having trouble selecting the Preferred Servers. I click on Preferred Servers and select New. Under Available Servers and Sites, I try to expand my root AD domain and NOTHING happens. I don't see any servers being listed. I know this used to work before. Any ideas ? I'm using BackupExec 2010 R3. Thanks. SolvedRe: IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Request not able to archive I'm doing this from the Inbox where the meeting requests are located and clicking on "store in vault". Nothing happens. The attachment within the meeting request does not get stripped. The message class is ipm.schedule.meeting.request before and after. I do have a case open, so let's see what the issue is. Thanks. IPM.Schedule.Meeting.Request not able to archiveHello, We have never archived this message class before, but now looks like we need to enable it. We want to strip off the large attachments associated with this message class items. We went in to Directory properites and added the new message class IPM.Schedule* and then enabled this in the mailbox policies. We also went in to the Advanced tab of the mailbox policy and set the setting "Strip Attachments to non-shortcut items" to ON. Do we also need to enable the message class IPM.Appointment in the mailbox policies ? Currently it is not. After synchronizing a few mailboxes and going in to Outlook and selecting a few of these meeting requests to manually store in vault, nothing is happening. We are not seeing the attachment getting stripped off. What are we missing ? We are running 8.0 SP4. Thank you in advance. Unable to clear backup mode - Event ID 7082Running 8.0 SP4.
