IDR Boot CD creation not working

I am trying to create a boot cd to test my DR.

I follow the directions to make the ISO file. And then using Sonic 7.3 burn it to a closed CD. But when I place it in my DR test box I receive "NTLDR is missing"

Also do I need to create the IDR diskette? Can I jsut copy the file to the CD also?

I thought the ISO disk is supposed to be bootable.

  • Kindly refer the following technote link.

Title:- During the Intelligent Disaster Recovery process, a reboot occurs and the operating system does not load stating that NTLDR is missing.

We hope this helps. Let us know if the problem still exists and revert back with the error message.
  • How many times have you tried the process?

I found that I needed to create and burn an IDR CD 3 times before I got a working image.

It wasn't a "Bad Burn" in the end (as I initially thought). The ISO created by IDR simply wasn't correct.
  • I had some stupid water that morning. When burning the image to cd, I was not selecting "burn image" I was just burning the ISO to the CD as a file.
