Legacy Agent 5.046 and RHEL5 64bit

I've gathered that the legacy agent doesn't properly support 64bit versions of Linux. Is this correct?

I've managed to manually get the agent installed and running. It does backup the majority of the file system but unfortunately it misses some of the root directories.

Here are the directories the legacy agent fails to capture on our RHEL5 64bit server:

database
queue
quarantine
misc
net
var
boot
opt
sys

The top three root directories are custom Logical Volumes. All of these directories are located in /.

Anyone been able to get a full server backup with the Legacy Agent and a 64bit Linux distribution?

We are using a Backup Exec 10d Windows Server. Identical RHEL5 32bit systems successfully backup their entire file system.

  • This issue was resolved by adding the following to our export:

    export / as root include_remote

It appears on our RHEL5 64-bit server the Backup Exec Agent thinks LVM's are remote file systems.
