Old backups showing

Using BE 2010 R2 (no I am not goinf to update to R3)

When I do a restore job the resource view shows backups from years ago which cannot possibly exist.

In fact, if I schedule a restore I get the error 'e000810d - Physical Volume Library Media not found' which I am pretty sure means the B2D file has long expired and been delete or overwritten.

Is there something I should run to keep the resource index up to date so that it only shows what is actually available for retore?

    Try reindexing the catalogs.

    Stop all BE services and using a cmd, browse to the BE directory. Run the following command -

    catrebuildindex -r

    Restart all services once the command runs. Lastly, you may have to recreate the Catalogs folder is this doesn't help.

    Sadly the catrebuilder made no difference.

    I will just live with it...
