Physical Volume Library Drive not available.

Hi

I am having problem on my Symantec Backup Exec Server 11d .

I cannot run backup job.

The error is Physical Volume Library Drive not available.

I just changed the Domain

Administrator password which i used for Backup Services

and deleted the old domain admin account name listed in the

credentials which is the domain name we are not using anymore.

Which Services should be running under Domain account .

I have attached screenshots for you review.

Could you please advice me

  • The Server, Job Engine, Management Services, Agent Browser and the Device & Media services needs to have domain admin ids.

Should they be runnning under domain Admin Credentials or Local Admin ?
    Thanks a lot
  • Hi

I managed to restart all services using local Admin .

    But when backup job starts

    there is popup box says

Authentication failed on connection to server.

    Attached is screenshot.

  • ...if you've just changed the BESA account password in AD, then open up BEutility.exe --> All Media Servers and right-click your server name before going to Change Service Account...

Put in the the username/password of the BESA account and let BEutility reset them.

restart the services if need be, and then check again...

  • Hi Thanks a lot

should all services be running under domain admin or

which services should be under domain admin .?
