Server Restore Process
Hi Guys,
I have a possible server failure and may need to restore the entire machine from a backup. To be honest (and this is embarrassing) I have never actually tested a complete system restore us...
A) If you have not created a IDR bootable ISO image using the IDR wizard, then you cannot do IDR restore. Otherwise, it is a matter of booting up from the IDR CD and following the process. I have uploaded a video showing the IDR restore of a remote server.

B) Do the manual restore as follows
1) install the OS and leave the server in a workgroup. Don't join it to your domain
2) install BE
3) catalog your most recent backup media
4) restore the C: drive
5) restore the system state. After the reboot, your server should be at the state of the last backup.
6) restore all your databases and files.
