SMTP Notifications are caught by the "Intelligent Message Filter" after SP2

We are using version 10d of Symantec Backup Exec. I just recently installed SP2 for Exchange 2003 and turned on the "Intelligent Message Filtering" feature. After that, the SMTP backup notifications started getting caught by the IMF. It sends the message but the new "Intelligent Message Filter" of Exchange 2003 SP2 is blocking the messages and labeling them as SPAM. I have tried adding the local IP address of the server as well as 127.0.0.1 to the "Global Accept List" but that hasn't helped. Any suggestions?

  • Unfortunately there is no way to whitelist a specific email address in the Exchange IMF.
