For those of you who are thinking about re-registering those VSS dlls, be EXTREMELY careful with doing this. Do not ever do this in Windows Server 2008 and above, it will permanently break VSS. I have escalated to Microsoft T3 support and they said this is not fixable.

Hi Andrew,
Unfortunately this is a dead topic...the OP simply never responded.
If you have support with Symantec, it's best to open a call with them and find out if they can assist you.
Might also be worth your while to check the Known Issues section and see if this is also listed there.
