Tape won't eject after sp4a

After installing the service pack, my backup job failed..

The event log shows

Event ID: 33152
Description:
Adamm Mover Eror: Unload Status Failure!
Error = ERROR_IO_DEVICE

The tape will not eject and the status light on the drive is blinking. I uninstalled the driver, and the windows driver loaded , but the drive still will not eject the tape.

The drive IS on the HCL . It's a SONY 10000

Any help greatly appreciated!

    Hello,

    First try an inventory on the tape so that Backup Exec will recognize the media.

    Then try to eject the media.

    If you are still unable to eject it the follow the steps given below:

    1. Disable the drive from Backup Exec.

    2. Stop all the Backup Exec services.

    3. Now manually eject the media.

    Then run a backup job and check the option 'Eject tape after backup completes' in the Device and Media of the Backup job Properties. This will allow Backup Exec to eject the media after the job is completed.
