  • If you use exchange 2003, you can use recovery storage groups, so you can restore data without overwriting your mailboxes. If you have performance problems, you can redirect restores to another server, using recovery storage groups on that server.
     
  • It's 2007 using GRT. I finally got them working, now just need to verify that I can fully restore a mailbox and I will be happy. This was a real bugger since I didnt have a third server for this organization and had to compromise by running BE on the exchange and CPS on the AD. I couldnt get BE installed on the AD for some reason, it wouldnt see MDAC being installed. I have the backups working though and duplicating to an off site share. Hopefully I can restore properly.
