Xenserver on BE 2012?

Dear Community

 

I would like to know if XenServer can be licensed on BE 2012? Knowing that the Vmware and Hyper-V agent are only specific to those two products. If not, which backup solution can I propose? NBU?

    Hi I am not sure with backup exec but you check SCL for BE2012, for your netbackup query please check link below http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH74309 Scl for BE2012:- http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH175581 For more information though on xenserver and nbu you can open up thread on nbu forum too ,to find more information.     There is no specific license for Xen Server. You can install a Remote Agent for Linux on the Xen Server and you can create backups and restores.

    Note that this will not create a GRT backup for your VMs !

    You can restore the complete VM, but not individual files from it.
