  • Hi Ida,

I work in Symantec Techncial Support.  I've supported the VCS product for just over 14 years now.  I've mostly focused on the Windows products but I have done some work from time to time on other platforms.

    Thank you,

    Wally

  • Hi Wally,

Thank you for your input. I have a few questions though.

Are you a SFHA user or a symantec staff?

If you have upgraded your environment, could you tell me which CPS server version you upgraded from and to which version

what are the mix of your CPS clients in terms of VRTScps versions?

how many cps servers your CPS clients have been configured to talked to

did you have to reestablish the trust between the clients and the CPS servers?

  • Hi Ida,

The process of upgrading the CPS servers is very straight forward.  The only issue that you should keep in mind is to upgrade the CPS servers one at a time.  This will allow you to still get a majority of the CPS servers in case of a race condition happens during the upgrade process.

It is also recommended that the CPS servers be the upgraded to the latest version before you upgrade an clusters/nodes to the latest version.

    Thank you,

    Wally
