<--- no using  CIO

so, we   can  not  use    veritas odm library...

could you teach me,    how  we can use veritas odm library ???  ( Is there any issue in  veritas / Oracle  ?? )

Thanks~~~~

  • I am not sure why you are saying you can not use ODM.

Veritas ODM would help you to improve database performance by skipping the veritas level locking mechanism (GLM) because this function is already performed by RAC itself.

Do you have RAC installed with libraries linked to Veritas ? Refer below link

    https://sort.symantec.com/public/documents/sfha/6.0/hp-ux/productguides/html/sfrac_install/ch17s01.htm

  • from the o/p above the vrts odm version/SF version seems to be 5.1. If you review the SF supportability matix with RAC (link provided in my earlier post) .. you should be at SF 6.0.3 to have this working with 11.2.0.4.

For 5.1, see: http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH173597 (the issu mentioned in this link is wrt 11.2.0.3 though)
