Policy alerts not being generated

Hi Guys,

I am very new to  the DI application and I really appreciate what it is doing for me, but an important feature which will be helpful is not working.

I like the policies that DI has in built and I have gone ahead and created a data activity policy just to test if the alerts are coming through

but looks like its not working and I dont get any emails.

The policy that really interests me is the whitelist policy where I can add users in the whitelist and anyone except those who accesses the share I would get an alert. Thats not working as well so just wanted to check if there is something else that needs to be done to get this working?
