Backup Exec prerequisite for DLO?

Many years ago I had an installation of Backup Exec 12 along the DLO additional software. It looked like DLO was an option (hence the O in DLO) for Backup Exec and the administration screens had some integration. Fast forward to today and I'm trying out DLO again. I've installed trial versions of BE 22.0 and DLO 9.8.2 on the assumption that there was a dependency, but the way DLO installed and is administered I'm thinking there's no dependency on BE. Is this true?

    You are correct. The DLO is an independent product from the version 7.0. However, the product name is not changed. It stays Desktop and Laptop Option.
