we have new installation of E-vault 8.03 for MS exchange 2007, archiving to single Centera box, collection enabled. I still have Archive pending, and I got these errors: 6952 Error from EMC Centera FPLibrary Function call: CGS/FPT_BW : NetworkPacket.checkControl(18)

Wait could this be something simple like in the properties of the Vault Store under the General Tab check to see if the Remove Safety Copies is set to Immediately after archive Seeing as you only have one Centera there is no backup and if this setting is not set EV will wait until one centera replicates to another then change the items from pending to the normal placeholder. By setting it to Immediately after backup it does not perform the backup check and goes direct to placeholder bypassing the pending state

What permissions do you have set on the Centera pool? is it set to anonymous or restricted

If restricted have you generated a .PEA file?

Make sure you specify the PEA file in the Connections tab for the partition. This will give EV the security access to the pool to write the data

Also to test connection run Centera Verify to validate that you have read write access to the centera pool
