Not necessarily a KB but it is commonly known items like .jpg are actually larger in the archive than the original. Thanks for the links. This seems to be consistent over all items in scope and is focused on email archived items, so I am not sure this explains the behavior we are seeing....but it may explain some of the behaviour. Thanks again.
