Deleting a Vault Partition

We have EV 9 on Server 2008 R2. One Vault Store with 3 - 1tb partitions. Partition one is full, so it closed and rolled over to Partition two. Partition one is closed, two is open, and three is now in a Ready status.

We would like to use the storage space used by Partition three for something else. I haven't been able to find any information like this, so are the steps below correct for what we want to do?

  1. Disable rollover on Partition two.
  2. Set State on partition three to closed.
  3. Delete Partition three.

    Forgot to ask. There aren't any time requirements for doing any of those steps are there? I don't have to wait an hour or a day between steps?

    no i dont see any reason to do that. should take less than 1 minute to make the change you want.

    So can we then assign different drive size and letters to the EV after we close it ?
