Enterprise Vault pst Migration question

I am looking at purchasing Enterprise Vault for the purpose of archiving Exchange 2010 mailboxes and would also like to migrate end users PST files into their archive.  Do I need the add on for this or can it be done on the server side so I don't have to do each migration from the clients.

  • The PST migration is built in to the product based on the license you purchase.  There were some improvements around PST migration with the latest version of EV 10.0.4.

Yes, you can do server side migration with EV but it has been our experience that engaging the end-user in the migration process is the way to go.

Feel free to ping me directly if you would like any additional information on our product, PST FlightDeck.  Depending on the scope of your project it might be beneficial.

  • Enterprise vault have many way to ingest PST'S to user's archive. It can be done from client without taking PST to server OR these PST can be archive from EV server's if you have collected in any central location.
