Enterpsie Vault 12 Message Classes

Is there any documentation on the different message classes that Enterprise Vault 12 creates in Exchange 2016 mailboxes? Looking at my mailbox is see the following (likely not a complete list):

  • IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut
  • IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.PendingArchive
  • IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut.DeleteMe
  • IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut.RestoreMe
  • IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.PendingArchive.ArchiveMe

Just wondering if there is an explanation of what they mean/are used for etc. ?

    Hello

    IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut = Archived Item = shortcut

    IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.PendingArchive = item is in process to be archived. item is still the original, only different message class. when item is archived, this changes to .shortcut

    IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut.DeleteMe = manual deleted shortcut in mailbox, awaiting confirmation from ev item is also deleted = when configured n policy!

    IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut.RestoreMe = item is waiting to be restored to mailbox. when restored, this will become ipm.note again

    IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.PendingArchive.ArchiveMe

    I think the short of it is the bottom three are pending actions requested from the client. Shortcut is a completed and backed up (if configured to do so). Pending archive is either pending storage, or pending backup based on your request but is queued.
