Morning! Ok I've confused myself.
I have a laptop with Win7 SP0, and a working EV9 client.
- Currently running Office 2010
- uninstalled the EV client, and upgraded to Win 7 SP1
- Reinstalled the EV9 client. it was successful
I then took one of my test PC's and reloaded Windows 7 SP1.
- Installed Win7 SP1
- Installed Office 2010
- Installed EV9 Client. Install 'completed sucessfully' but once again did not create any folders in \Program Files.
there is NOTHING in the logfiles to show why it did not create the folder\files. It can only be something weird running on my freshly reinstalled PC (firewall, User Account Control, etc??) although i have switched this ALL off.
There is a difference between logfiles. in the previously attached logfile, do a search for the word "installfiles". this is where the system starts copying files. compare this to a logfile that worked, and you will see that the working one then logs files being copied to disk, but the non-working one does some sort of "MSI" stuff. It offers no reason as to why.
Anyway, I'm so confused now, I'm going to try a completely different Windows 7 install media. This is just not adding up.
If the new media doesnt work, I will log a call with Product Support.
Cheers!
Carl
