Migrating EV from Windows 2012 to Windows 2019

    Hello Richard,

    It depends. If you use dns aliasses for EV/SQL/Storage, you could basically move the DB's to the new server, update DNS, off you go. Same for EV. There are several KB Articles available on how to do it. 

    For SQL, make sure the new SQL server uses the same collation as the existing one. If not, you will run into issue when upgrading to a newer version.

    thank you for the reply and advice :) 

    we have moved the SQL databases to the new server, which is quite direct especially with the new SQL move script.

    Next phase is to use the EV server migrator tool to migrate EV. Our only concern is the large EV store and index disks, hope our VM guy is able to do the disk detach/attach successfully during the cutover
