Move / Modify Vault content without Virtual Vault

Thanks for elaborating. So essentially from the server there is nothing within enterprise vault where you can move messages around in a users mailbox from the server in order to change retention. This would have to be a user operation and so this is more of an educational issue. The only time there is a potential for data loss is when an item is moved from the mailbox to virtual vault and the item has not been sync'd. This is because that full item resides in the local .MDC file and so if the client blows up then yes there would be a loss of that data. Whem using the moved items feature this should be synchonised to your Vault Cache and if you are having issues there then they need investigating
