Move Archived Data (FSA)

Guys,

Have done a search but have not found anything.

Have a partition that is very low on free space that is used by FSA.  I would like to free up some space on this volume to allow for file recalls.  A fortnightly process recall many files (don't ask !!)

The partition in question has data archived by year (btw using EV 9.0).  Is it possible to move one of these yearly folders to the newly opened partition to free up some space ?

  • I would not recommend to move any data from FS partition, neither we can move old partition data to new one. If you do that then recall/retrival of archived item (those are moved) would not work.

So the suggestion would be either move partition to new location where you have sufficient space as per TN http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH35742

If it is just diskspace warning related issues then check followings link.

You can also think to move other location (such as temp, shopping if configured in same drive where EV FSA partition reside).
