Enter storage configuration properties.
You have the opportunity to configure AdvancedDisk and Media Sever Deduplication Pool (MSDP) partitions.
You can view a summary of the storage settings and edit them, if desired.

1. To configure a storage pool, you must enter the following:
The size, the diskpool name, and the storage unit name.
2. To skip configuration, enter 0 (zero) when prompted for the size.
This also deletes any existing data.
3. To keep the storage pool intact, choose the default size, if applicable.

The estimated time to configure storage can range from 0 hours, 1 minutes to 0 hours, 1 minutes depending on the system load. There may also be several minutes to restart the NetBackup services. The greater the system load the longer it takes to complete the operation.

  • Is this not the problem:

...i.e. it looks you had a previous configuration which has not been fully removed.

Time for a Veritas Support case I think.

hello sdo, (thank you in first time)

this appliance is new, and I think that this existing  configuration is a previous configuration ended bad. I should also reset to default the appliance but I think that the problem persist, have you some idea when I can find some logs ?? I just check "/log/netbackup/admin" on the appliance with this interesting:

Have you loaded a valid license?

If you still have only the default v2.7.3 shipped demo/temporary/shipping license installed, and if you re-image the appliance then this brings back the old demo/temporary/shipping, then that demo/temporary/shipping license for v2.7.3 expired on 31-Oct-2016.

If the above is the case, then you have two options:

        1) Keep a valid system/BIOS date, and install a valid license key (and you may as well remove the old demo license while you are at it).

        2) Bodge the BIOS date, and use the demo/temporary/shipping license, but risk the bad system date affecting your backups and/or corrupting other elements of your production backup infrastructure.
