Backup is getting failed due to error 10 - Allocation failed

I checked that link but no luck due to: it is for bpbkar.

I am getting error in "Critical bpbrm (pid=12648610) from client webintprdrk1p: FTL - dir_list_rec malloc failed. Errno = 12:"

if I remember correctly the status 10 is caused by lack of shared memory/swap page and can be on any process on either client, media or master. In your case I would start with looking at the client and then either increase shared memory/swap or break up the backup in smaller sections if it the client that has the shared memory/swap issue

I put only / and /u01 has a backup selection. Please suggest

Then try backups with each of the mountpoints to see if that solves your problem

If not you will have to look at the shared memory/swap space

Please share all relevant info:

Is this a media server backing up itself?
Or backed up by another media server?

Share all info about OS and NBU version on master, media and client.
(We can see that you have selected NBU 7.5 and AIX, but we need to know this info for all servers/clients related to this problem.)

Is problem only seen with one client? 
Have you previously had successful backups for this client?

Enable logging for further troubleshooting:

On media server: bpbrm
On client: bpbkar

Copy logs to .txt files (e.g. bpbrm.txt) and upload as File attachments.

just a though.. probably see the uptime of the client and try backup after clean reboot..

What version of Netbackup is in use ?

What OS is the master and media server

What version of AIX is in use (master/media and client) ?

Status 150 without being terminated by administrator look like memory constrains. Either free memory/swap or kernel settings set to low.  Ensure enough free memory is available

 Furthermore bpbrm isn't a client process, it belong on master and media server. I suggest you  test Nagalla suggestion.

NBU Master is 7.5.0.7 Linux

Media server is 7.5.0.7 AIX (6.1)

Client is 7.5.07 AIX (6.1)

Also uptime is 330 days. There is no chance to reboot the server since we have dba application.
