client process aborted(50)

Hi,

Am having around 20 hung backup job's with 50 error code with the job status as "Waiting for retry". I know the problem occured due to Master or media server restarted while the backup jobs are in active state. Am not able to cancel those jobs.

I have did the below things to remove from it my admin console, but none worked out.

1) Tried to cancel the job.

2) Restarted the NB service and the server.

3) Tried to remove the pempersist file from master server. But it's not exist.

My master server version is 6.5.6.W2K server.

Below is the log from detailed description.

Ram.

  • "unknown" job that wouldn't cancel nor delete. Unfortunately can't find the T/N that I used at the moment, but this is an excerpt from another that may not directly relate, but has the same steps:

Ensure all jobs have finished and make a note of the job ids before proceeding!

    1. Stop Netbackup services.
    2. Browse to <installation path>\netbackup\db\jobs directory
    3. Rename the file bpjobd.act.db file to bpjobd.act.db.old
    4. Remove any files in the .\trylogs that match the jobid(s) that are stuck.
    5. Remove any files in the .\ffilelogs that match the jobid(s) that are stuck.
    6. Remove any files in the .\restart that match the jobid(s) that are stuck.
    7. Start Netbackup services.

This was taken from the following T/N (which I didn't reference initially):

    ***EDIT***

Found the old T/N I originally referenced:
