Exchange GRT backup configuration settings

    Hi Rino19ny,

    Have a look at this technote as well.  The service account you are using may need to be added to some additional windows local security policies:

    Cannot add a Windows global account to Host Properties, it fails with status 1385 errors

ok just to isolate if its a Windows account issue, i logged in OWA using the GRT account in question and it accepted the password. therefore, it is not a password issue that is throwing the error message. again, if i use another domain admin account it accepts.

i have checked the memberships of this GRT account and it all checks out as per the TN.

      GRT is a bit of a pain to get going, but once you've got it set it works great ..... until you upgrade something and it breaks :smileytongue:
