Ghost Jobs

Hi

Heres my envt

NBU - 7.6.0.3

Windows 2008

 

Everytime I open BAR gui and browse the contents for restore a blank restore job shows up in activity monitor. There is no information in the job apart from a line which states the requested operation completed successfully. I found a technote but that seems to be cos of Ops center. I am not using Ops center in this envt. 

Any idea whats happening ?

    Are you browsing GRT backups? For GRT restores a job is created as you drill down into the information store.

    I have only ever seen this for GRT backups .. to read the contents it actually has to mount the backup image and read it to display the information on the screen and this process is the same as a restore job and so shows up in activity monitor .. not sure why it was never coded to just say something like "GRT Browse" in the job details!!
