HP VTL 6800 tape path not detected from HP ux 9000/800 server

Hi All..

I trying to detect tapes from my server which is on HP 9000/800 plateform ..
i trying to detect HP VTL 6800 rapes ..

Please find the output from server of ioscan ..

  • insf -e -H 0/2
    insf -e -H 0/6

    And you get the device files installed. It seesm the HP box can see the tape drives.
  • Nitesh It seems u are not getting rmt path of your drives even after insf -e command .. need to check your drivers for that

  • Check that the stape device driver is added to the kernel. For robotic control add the mchanger as well.

    @nitesh: Please explain what you want. Are you looking to install tapes drives or inventory a robot for virtual tapes ?.
