  • As suggested please verify the bpfis, event viewerand  post us the details

There are two possible solutions to this issue:

    1. Open the Hyper-V policy in the NetBackup Administrators Console and click the Options button under Snapshot Client on the Attributes tab.  Change the "Allow Offline Backup of VM" option to Yes, or
    2. Resolve the situation with the virtual machine(s) that causes Microsoft to place it into a 'Saved' state.  This could involve making changes to the virtual machine configuration.

  • Critical bpbrm (pid=7908) from client TMLEPO1.tmindia.tatamotors.com: FTL - snapshot preparation failed, status 156

best place to start from the Hyper-V server.. looks like its failed to create the snaphost.. check the the hyper-V server for the reason and try to fix that..

  • The bpfis log contains information about snapshots, is unsure if it will be on the hyper-v host or on the backup host is this case.
