Image Cleanup failed with status 47

Hi,

I am new with nbu. I am using Nbu 6.5.4. I have faced this issue many times. Can somebody assist me on this?

6/14/2011 1:54:05 PM - Info bpdbm(pid=4848) deleted 1 expired records, compressed 0, tir removed 0, deleted 0 expired copies
host is unreachable(47)

if i run this (nbdelete -allvolumes -force) command, would it effect any data or volume?

  • as it only "removes deleted fragments".

May need to log a call if you have some d/b inconsistencies - see the same issue we had some time back:

    (issue 2 is relevant here!)

  • GENERAL ERROR: Image Cleanup are completing with Status 47 Host Unreachable.

"This will occur if a media server was removed from a NetBackup environment without following the decommissioning procedure. NetBackup will not be able to communicate with the media server to expire the images from the environment."

Try running the nbdelete command that you mention, it may well resolve your issue.

  • Create admin log on master server.

The log should contain the media server hostname that cannot be reached.

  • a) wait for the next scheduled clean-up or

    b) run one manually bpimage -cleanup -allclients

Why do you mention "next duplication session"?

  • i have tried the nbdelete..i will share the result agter done bpimage command

    Thanks!
