ipcs -A dosent display Netbackup project on Solaris 11

Dear Support

Initially Netbackup 7.6.1 work fine but when i have change ip address and route i have discover this problem.

Any idea about this situation.

Regards.

  • Did you restart the service after you made the change?

Did you run bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache after you made the change?

Can you resolve other hosts and can other hosts resolve the server you're working on after you made the change?

Can other hosts ping the server you're working on after you made the change?

  • This is not Support - just a Community forum where fellow users are trying to help. I cannot comment on ipcs output as this is an OS function. Is NBU up and running and functioning normally?
  • What problem did you discover? The suspense is killing me.

  • thanks all for your reply

in fact my error message is the following:

failed to initialize EMM connetion. Verify that the network access to the EMM server is available and that the services nbemm and pbx_exchange are running on the EMM server. (195)

  • Well, firstly - what services are running ?

    What does this show :

    /usr/openv/db/bin/nbdb_ping

A change of IP address shouldn't be an issue - stop/restart NBU - provideing it can resolve  fully, NBU won't care.

You say 'routes'  - do you mean that the master is running fine, and it is media servers that are having the issue ?
