Is there any bp.conf file equivalent in windows?

Dear Experts,

Is there any bp.conf file equivalent in windows server or client? where we can get all the information say who is master, client, media server and other config items?

Thanks,

  • No - In windows bp.conf is Windows Registry settings:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Veritas\NetBackup\CurrentVersion\Config

Normal "nbemmcmd -listhosts" can answer if the host is a master or media server.

  • Another way to access the information is through the CLI command bpgetconfig. Using this method you don't have to login to each server and look at the registry. You can loop through a list of servers.

  • Thanks Nicolai,

1:-Is there any command in master server in windows where we could get the list of all servers master, media and client as well?

2:- any command in win server client where we can get the media server name, details ?
