"Media ID not unique in database (34)"

Hello,

I am trying to import some tapes into the NBU and when I am importing the tapes,show me this message "Media ID not unique in database (34)".

Update failed: could not add new media ID 'SB7773' into slot 40
Insert media failed:
media ID not unique in database (34)

After I see this message I found this tape into  the Media as TLD, but I think I didn`t import it yet.

 

Now many tapes are showing me the same massage.

 

Could you please help me woith this issue?

    We are really trying to help you here. It is close to 5 hours since I have asked for output of:

    nbemmcmd -listmedia -mediaid SB7773

    We need to find out what is already in NBU database for this tape and therefore giving 'not unique in database' error.

    Hi,

     

    Take a look if the media is assigned (has a date under the assigned field). If not, delete that media and retry the inventory.

    Please always mention/select your OS in new posts.
    We need output from commands to troubleshoot your issue.

    Show us output of this command:

    nbemmcmd -listmedia -mediaid SB7773 

    (command is in ..../netbackup/bin/admincmd)

    Maybe Windows 2003 or 2008? Windows 7 is not supported as NBU master or media server. Please open cmd and run command in my post above. Command is in ....\veritas\netbackup\bin\admincmd.

    You say 'import' - where from ? Was the tape wrtten on a different NBU environment that uses the same barcodes as the system you are trying to import it on. Or, was the tape written on this system some time ago ?

    I am importing from Library I/O to NBU.

    The issue happens with some tapes that are Scratch.

    I said 'wherefrom' - I mean which NBU environment was the tape written on ?
