media open error(83) Could not open FT Server pipe: pipe open failed

Hi everybody;

 

I have installed 3 new media servers and trying to backup a client via SAN but i am getting the error message below:

media open error(83) Could not open FT Server pipe: pipe open failed

I have added these entries to the media server:

When i run the nbftconfig -listservers command, i see my new media servers:

What is the problem and how can i solve it?

    Please provide the output of following command:

    /etc/init.d/nbftserver start

    Possible module issue.

    So this is a 5220. From the CLISH go to Manage > FibreChannel and type in Show send that output as well.

    when i run the /etc/init.d/nbftserver start it says that "ERROR: Module windrvr6 is in use, unable to remove windrvr6".

    I have added the Manage > FibreChannel-Show output. I think there is something wrong with my FC port configuration. As you see in the attached file, output says: 

    (NOTE: Ports in mode "Initiator*" are configured for target mode when SAN Client FT Media

           Server is active, however, are currently running in initiator mode, i.e. SAN Client
           is disabled or inactive.)
     
    And ports which are in target mode are in unknown state. And also one port's speed is 2Gb/s.
     
    how can i solve the problem according to these information? Please help!

    Could you please check from Media and Device Management > Devices > Media Servers and ensure FT is enabled for all the media servers in question.

    Also,

    /etc/init.d/nbftserver start it says that "ERROR: Module windrvr6 is in use, unable to remove windrvr6".

    says, Module driver seems to be OK and is loaded. Hence, its normal that it showed error.

    Run the following commands on all media servers in question:

    /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/nbrbutil -listOrphanedPipes

    /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd/nbrbutil -releaseAllocHolds

    Please post the result here.

    I have checked that FT is enabled for all the media servers. I have run the commands which you sent. I got no output. My target ports are in unknown state and error status is 1.
