Recoveries of Solaris BMR clients do not need a separate license.  This is a free feature, starting with NBU 6.5.

See this article for assistance with Boot Servers:

Requirements for Bare Metal Restore (BMR) Boot Servers
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH87607

A DHCP server is not required for Solaris recoveries using network boot.  BMR emulates JumpStart processing. For network boot, the client and the BMR Boot Server must be on the same network segment. See this article:

Methodology used for the network boot processing of a Solaris Bare Metal Restore (BMR) client.
    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH54765

The BMR Boot Server OS/kernel needs to be as high or higher than any of the clients it supports. A Shared Resource Tree (SRT) cannot be created at a level higher than the Boot Server performing the work.

A Solaris 10 Update 6 or higher SRT can recover a Solaris 10 Update 6 or higher client.
A Solaris 10 Update 5 and lower client requires a Solaris 10 Update 5 or lower SRT.

The kernel versions do not have to be a match.

A Prepare To Restore operation must be done ahead of any BMR recovery.  The style of the SRT must match the style of the intended boot method. Failure to do so will cause recovery time failures.

Here is one last article for your use.
