slp duplications backlog

Hi,

i have SLP back log of 120TB.

now we have new library with 6 additional tape drives,now i want to use those additional tapedrives for backlog duplications.

 

how to use new tape drives for backlog SLP duplications

    Hi,

    Have you created new Storage unit for new tape library, if yes then you willl need to use this new Storage unit for that to get used you will need to update SLP to use new STU. But don't update storage unit in SLP via GUI. To update STU you will need to run below commands:-

    <install path>\netbackup\bin\admincmd\nbstl <SLP name> -all_versions -L

    <install path>\netbackup\bin\admincmd\nbstl  <SLP name> -modify_version -version <version number> -residence oper1,oper2,opern...

    Kindly increase Concurrent write drives to 6 for new Tape library Storage unit configured.

    Kindly increase Tape Resource Multiplier to 10:-

    Goto Admin Console->Master Server Host Properties->SLP Parameter->Tape Resource Multiplier
