SQL restore alternate server

Destination client ::: Windows 2008 R2 SP1  , MSSQL 2008 R2  SP1, NetBackup 7.5

Source : NetBackup 7.5.0.4 , Windows 2008 R2 SP1 .. MS SQL 2008 R2 SP1.

initiated the restore, but it stucks @ 

Info dbclient(pid=3252) INF - Created VDI object for SQL Server instance

then fail in some time.

    Hi everyone, 

    this issue has been fixed, restore successful.

    Issue was restore from client was not abled..

    used bpclient command with parameter -list_restore with value 1.

    It fixed the issue.

    Check that Client Read Timeout on media server is increased to give SQL time to initialize databases before actual restore can be started. Set it to 3 hours (10800) to prevent timeouts.

    Post your restore script and details about the source and destination server.

    Then post dbclient log.

    There is a setting for SQL/windows which makes the SQL server skip the "format" of the files in a restore.

    EDIT

    It called Instant data file initialization, found it in the NBU 7.6 SQL admin guide on page 55
