I'm assuming that the backup policy is a traditional backup policy and that you are not backing it up using a VIP. Give us more details about the backup policy.
Is this the only client you are having the issue with? Since when did this start? What changed before that?
Also, I would start with an upgrade of the client to 9.1.0.1 as 7.6 is old and out of support. Support would ask to upgrade as the fist thing.
Check logs for bpbkar and bpbrm to start with after increasing logging to VERBOSE=3
