VM’s on NFS datastores

hi Team,

If the VM's are on NFS datastore , what are the options we have to run the backup from Netbackup 7.6.0.3 ?

is it possible to take snapshot backup of the VM by using "create a snapshot backup policy" ?

  • Client installation only required for direct restore of files to the client (or sql, or exchange, etc).

  • Thanks Riaan,

Does it also require to present the volumes to media server (Like for SAN based datastores, LUN's needs to present to media server) ?

  • ok. so in NBD transport mode ,do I need to install client agents on each client or its not required?

how the communication will happen...? ESX server will provide the data or vCenter ?

(I am new to netbackup , so just clearing my doubts)
