How to install System Recovery 2013 Management Solution

Hi all,

I want to update my installation of SSR 2011 Management Console on a Windows 2008 R2 64bit server.

I know that I must use Symantec Installation Manager, but the problem is that in the list of products I don't find the new version (2013).

Any hints?

Thank you

Luca

  • Try changing your product listing file to symantec_v2.pl.xml.zip (http://www.solutionsam.com/solutions/pl/symantec_v2.pl.xml.zip)

  • Uh, I think you need to update the SIM to the new version first, and then the product will appear. But I'm not quite sure about that.

  • Hi Markus,

thnaks for your reply. Do you know where I can find the last SIM version?

    Thank you

    Luca

  • Unfortunatley I haven't done the upgrade from SSR MS 2011 to 2013 yet, but I think it should be advertised when you start the SIM ?!

  • Hi Markus,

unfortunately I've the same problem: the SIM doesn't show me the new version of SSR.

  • I suspect this is caused by SIM using the wrong product listing file. To check this, open SIM and go to settings (top-right corner). Then click on 'Change Product Listing' - provide a screenshot of what you see here.
