  • Are you attempting to move your Linux server from physical to virtual?

If yes, please be aware that SSR Linux Edition does not support restore anyware (restore to different hardware).

  • can i change my server into virtual using the CustumSDR disk and the point of recovery .v2i?
booting with v2i and applying the v2i file under my hyper-v Server,or do i need symantec recovery disk to do this ???

  • i m trying to activate my network card in order to mount my v2i file.but i didn't found any interface card

  • If you would like to restore into a VM, boot to the SRD from the VM and restore the image into that VM.

As for the NIC, you need the drivers for the NIC if the SRD does not see it.

  • for now i have :
    customSDR.iso (done with createSDR command)

2 v2i file (my server have lvm structure)
when i use customSDR.iso ,the ifconfig command shows only my loopback interface
when i use Symantec recovery disk,i cannot found the LVM tools .
if u have a link for the RIGHT Symantec recovery disk with LVM tools (for linux recovery)
please tell me , i need really a solution to recover my server

    thanks a lot
