Windows 10 Issue

I just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7.  I am using System Recovery 2013, Ver. 11.0.2.49853.  The installation date is Monday, December 14, 2015.  After the upgrade to Windows 10 it changed to a Trial Version with an Expired License.  How do I correct this program so it runs in Windows 10 as it did in Windows 7.

    According to the SCL https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.TECH201318 SSR 2013 does not support Windows 10. You need to upgrade to SSR 2013 R2 preferably SP4 which supports Windows 10. See the SCL https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.DOC7527 for more details.

    Hi Chris,

    I clicked on the link you provided above:  http://www.veritas.com/docs/000081200.  I then downloaded:  System_Recovery_11.1_SP4_Patch_32.zip (203.1666 MB).  I clicked on the zip file and it opened up to the .exe file.  Clicked on that file.  Installation started and gave the following error message:  "Symantec System Recovery.  This patch cannot be installed on this computer.  Please contact Symantec Customer Support for more information."

    Am I doing something wrong?  Please advise.

    You need to update to SSR 2013 R2 first. R2 is a different version then SSR 2013 (without R2).

    Brian,

    Markus is correct. You currently have 2013 (pre R2) - hence that patch cannot be installed.

    R2 is the only version that supports Windows 10. You are going to need to upgrade.

    Thanks for the info.  Can you please tell me specifically how I upgrade to R2.

    Please provide the link to the upgrade.  Will I have to buy a new license for R2?  If so, can you also provide the link to purchase the new license.

    System Recovery 2013 ver. 11.0.1.47662 works in windows 10. I don't know if you can install it in windows 10 but if it is installed in win 7 and you do the upgrade to win 10 then it continues to work with no licensing issues.

    When my laptop died in October 2015 I got a new used one, did a clean install of windows 7, installed System Recovery 2013 ver. 11.0.1.47662, then upgraded to windows 10. I was surprised to see that it worked, as what I had read told me it would not work. Its still working for backups and restores.

    This week my wifes windows 8 scrambled itself to the point where it would not boot. We are travelling away from our backup media so I did a clean install of windows 7, then installed System Recovery 2013 ver. 11.0.1.47662, then used live update to update to ver 11.0.2.xxxxx. Then upgraded to windows 10. as soon as I ran System Recovery, It asked for the license code but would not accept it. So I restored back to win 7, uninstalled System Recovery 2013, the re-installed ver. 11.0.1.47662 but did not do live update. Upgraded to win 10 and System Recovery 2013 ver. 11.0.1.47662 is working with no licensing issues.

    Yes, it *may* work. However, this version is NOT supported on Windows 10 - if you have any issues, you will not receive any support from Veritas I'm afraid.
