I'm using the Oracle Agent to backup my database. I have the job set to "Append to media, overwrite if no appendable media is available." The job is successfully ran every night but the previous night's backup keeps getting overwrtitten.What am I doing wrong?

We are not backing up SAP R3.Overwrtie protect period is 12 hours.Append period is 6 hours.About 2.8 GB is being backedup.It's being backed up to a local drive on the backup server.This issue only occurs on Oracle backups.

The append period doesnt exist under that option. I'm going to Media, then Properties on the Media Set.

I think I've answered enough questions. How about some actual support.

Please let us know from where you come to know that the data is being overwritten instead of appending?

What are the settings in TOOLS>OPTIONS>MEDIA MANAGEMENT
