Question about BE restore

Hi,

I have question about BE restore.

If server crashed, there are 2 ways to restore system.

1) SDR by recovery disc

2)  reinstall OS then restore "complete online restore of a computer, or restore system components"

-------------------

- Which option is faster ?

- For SDR recovery, is BE recovery disc is a must ?

- Since tape drive is using for backup, SDR recovery will point to get recovery data from tape drive ?

    Whether you want to make your daily backups capable of SDR restore is up to you. You don't have to create a new SDR bootable disk everyday to include the .dr file. You only need to make them accessible to the SDR restore process, like putting them on a thumbdrive

    For best partice, is SDR need to backup dailiy ?

    Since DR file have to burn to recovery dics

    Is this mean SDR bootable dsk not including .DR file ?

    .DR file need to use while SDR restore process ?

    Is drivers required ?

    Same driver should be used. If both servers were selected, it show only one server beside driver.

    Thus, do I need to separate those servers ?

    No. What I am saying is that during the SDR restore process you can point it to the latest .dr file, so you don't have to continuously burn new SDR disks Yes. The .dr file is needed during the SDR restore.

    It is in the SDR/IDR directory under the BE installation directory
